HSBC direct -> your bank. how long?
I did a cashout on the 9th from HSBC direct. this was my first one (other then the account verification which showed up the same day). How long does this take? I need this money to pay my taxes. Hopefully it will get here on time.

3 business days, according to the site. I just did the same today. If it doesn't go through I'm screwed.

Also, you mail taxes by the 15th (or 16th or 17th or whatever the deadline is this year), then the Government won't get it for a couple days, so this should buy you plenty of time. Am I wrong? |

Correct...it has to be postmarked by April 17th this year. If you are really running late, I know that some Post Office locations stay open until midnight on "Tax Day". I even remember seeing people handing their returns to USPS personnel standing in the middle of the street so as not to cause a traffic jam.
Check out http://www.usps.com/tax/ -- they may publish extended hours for your neighborhood. |
