Default NL50 : 97s OTB

Reads no villain : small bet monsters for milking and slowplay them. Took 2-3 pots from me calling my c-bet and milking small bet from me. just reloaded to 50$ after a raise/c-bet getting taken by him

Effective stacks 50$
Villain raise UTG to 2$
Hero call OTB 2$ (9c 7c) (Here I decided to go with a post-flop plan based on my read : If he bet big on the flop, Im going to war except for really ugly flops and folding/passive line if he bet small/check)
others fold

flop (4.75$) 2 6 J rainbow with one of my suit
Villain UTG insta pot-it 4.75$
Hero insta raise to 15$
Villain calls

Turn (±36$) A of my suit
Villain checks
Hero shoves (37$)

Like it? hate it? Im trying to find right spot for those hands/play before moving up to 100NL. I mostly dont make plays that read-based before, only play by the number and I feel I'm would not be comfortable moving up with the game I have at the moment even with the roll over 25 buyin for 100NL.

Do you ride along with your reads in those thin spots?

Comments appreciated

personally i hate it!!
i would rather bide my time until i get a hand and take his money rather than betting on air... is your plan to play back at this player at his own game??

Thats not his type of play. My read was : bet small with good hands. Here he insta pot-it. At that point, I decided cards didnt matter anymore. I am trying to adjust my postflop play for higher stakes and wondering if this is total spew with reads. I personnaly never did that move before and felt I need to be able to do these once in awhile, no?

i dont feel the necessity to reraise with disregard for my cards... i am a tight player but will raise when i have draws if i think that my opponent/s are weak or have enough outs to gamble with...
there are much better situations to make this play...

it sounds to me like preflop you decided you wanted to bluff him here. dont do that. Also, if you are going to play 97s on the button I personally dont like the preflop call, raise it or fold.

i think this is a donk/donk/donk play. People do this and show me it @ NL 50 and I'm not surprised they're still @ NL 50 while I only revisit the stakes to rebuild.
