Another AKo hand v. same homeboy.
This time 40/12/.8 limps otb. His ASB is 30, and WtSD is 36 over ~500 hands. Same TAG raises SB, I cap A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], otb calls, TAG caps, all call.
3 to the flop: 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] SB leads, I raise... (planning on taking free turn if that's worth anything.) |

Re: Another AKo hand v. same homeboy.
There are many reasons why a raise could be good here, but none of them seems to apply.
The chance that you have the best hand here is small, so its not a raise for value. You are not protecting any outs here, if CO has an A or K he will have a worse kicker, and he certainly will not fold a hand like A3s. Finally SB must be very passive if he will give you a free turn holding a pocket pair. Normally he will reraise you and donk the turn. So I would just call. |

Re: Another AKo hand v. same homeboy.
somehow u and the tag capped, lol
umm, decent line as played, u could peel here intending to chase down, this is a really tough spot out of position, sometimes u just have to call and give up later on |

Re: Another AKo hand v. same homeboy.
This is tough. I like your raise though. If SB 3bets and it's HU, what is your plan?
Also, I think this would be an interesting hand to look at from SB's position. If you were SB, how would you respond to the flop raise if you held KK? QQ? JJ? AK? |
