Default What\'s good in ATLANTA?

I'll be visiting my brother in Atlanta from wednesday to sunday. I'm sure we'll be attending multiple braves games, but other than that i don't know what to do to make my trip fun/memorable. He's married and hasn't been in ATL very long, so it's not as if he is on top of the nightlife scene. Basically, I'm looking to have fun, get laid and enjoy my spring break. What say you OOT?

bdf,

Pay no mind to kyle, he's subject to roid rage from time to time.

Anyway, do a search in this forum with "Atlanta" in the subject line. There are at least two very helpful threads about this - one which I started last May, the other one's not a month old. I'd link for you but I'm too lazy and it's an easy find.

thanks for the tip -- i found the posts and they were helpful.

Specific Question -- what's a good bar/area to go to near turner field? i imagine that's where we'll be more than a few times, and we'll be drunk enough that going somewhere else in the city will be too expensive or unsafe.

Yeah but what if OP is black? Then he'll blend right in. So to speak.

tuq,

no, the atl blacks can discriminate against the black people who know who to use the internets.

bdf,

really depends on what kind of scene you're looking for. for a very laid back/old people bar i like manuel's tavern, which is about 10 min from turner field. there are several other good bars in that va highlands area that are a bit more young, but still more laid back.

obv buckhead is good for frat/[censored]/yuppies.

you're going to end up cabbing quite a bit, atl is def one of those cities that you need a car.

holla
