Default The Forever Stamp

so this stamp is 41 cents, is this a good investment oppurtunity or am I crazy?

Heck, with the number of letters I mail every year, I'd save almost a whole buck over my lifetime!

I think a better strategy would have been to put the $4 million in tax-free munis until the PO announces the next stamp increase (probably some time in 2009). Then you will be able to buy ~$4.3 million worth of 41-cent forever stamps.

You couldnt do that though, youd have to buy 4.3 million of the 45-cent (or whatever) stamps in 2009. You gotta buy 4 million worth of 41 cent stamps now, then in 2009, you could sell them for 44 cents a piece. Your investment is safe eld.

Wrong. From the USPS Website.

"Once prices change May 14, the Forever stamp will remain on sale at the 41-cent First-Class one-ounce letter price until the next price change. The Forever stamp will then be available at the new price. "


guids, I hope for your sake El D didn't follow your advice. If he did, I suggest you have someone else open up any medium sized packages you might receive that contain no return address and are postmarked with Forever stamps.
