Default NL10, KK Flop Top Set, turn made a flush poss, guy checks river.

I was 50/50 on whether I should check behind and be safe or throw out a little value bet, obv I wish I would of checked, lol. I was just wondering if this is an obv check or is it just one of those things in holdem.

I also know I should bet more flop, turn and river. Need to make that adjustment..

At 10nl, I'd put more in preflop. When your at higher stakes, it makes a difference as people notice a lot more things, betting patterns, sizes, bluffs etc...

With a semi draw heavy flop, I'd bet very close to pot or even an overbet. Most people at these levels will chase...

Preflop you need to raise to $.7(.1 to call + 4(.1) standard button raise + (.1 per limper)x2).

Its good that you know you should be betting more on the flop, because that isn't even half pot...with two flush cards out, you have to bet more to make calling with a draw more expensive for him.

I think people are complaining about the PF bet a little too much. It's not the biggest problem here.

Pot the flop, and if he calls there's about $5 in the pot. This will let you bet $3 or 4 on the turn and charge any fluky one card flush draws and get most of the money in that way. You're just going about building the pot too slowly, particularly when the board is this drawish.

Sometimes you get no action if you bet too much preflop, so your bet is fine. But that depends on a lot of conditions. On the flop bet the pot due to the flush draw. You really want to play the hand fast. Bet more on turn or just check behind. Betting less than 40% pot shows weakness. Check behind river.

like others have said your bet sizing post flop is pretty bad

pot the flop (or at leasy 3/4pot)
then you can bet ~$4 on the turn and obv call a push

as played on the river either make a decent value bet or check behind. I'd bet ~$3-4

I assume villain made the spade flush?, yes you should have bet more on the flop but it wouldn't have made a difference.

Unlucky, I am value betting this river every dasy given the action.......... That was a risky move on his part checking the river, he got lucky pretty much any other hand is gonna check behind too.
