Default Two interesting hands I have quesitons on

1) First hand I have 66 on the button

UTG who is sitting full stacked which is actually rare in these games limps.

I raise 66 on the button and make it $16, both the SB and UTG call.

Flop($52) 578r

SB checks, UTG fires out for half pot

Villain???

Some people I talked to said raise it and call a shove. Others said to just call.

During the actual hand I called.

Turn ($104) A

UTG checks and I ?????

2) 2nd hand I have AQs on the button and there are 4 limpers with also some posted blinds and extra money from people posting from skipping blinds. I make it $24 on button.

I get one caller in the SB who I have specific notes on that he calls lightly pre flop. He will call down lightly post flop. Also observed a hand where he 3 bet KK pre flop and when an A flopped he checked 3 streets. He is capable of floating as well.

Flop (~$60) J44r

UTG checks and I ?????

I ended up betting $45 here and he calls.

Turn (~$150) Q (no flush draw made)

Villain checks... I..???

I rationalized betting at the time because I thought he would call with a Jack and 55-TT. I also figured he would not give me credit for the Q and would think i'm firing it because its a good card to second barrel on since it's an over card.

Thoughts on these hands/streets appreciated.

I'm serious. I talked to OP about these hands privately and think they're interesting.

why in heckk would you randomize your flop play here? or do you just mean that you fold it to 50% of opponents...? what would you do against an unkown (whom this guy is)?

against most players i'll fold the flop. sometimes against crappier/retarded/hyperpassive type players, or when i've got strange very aggressive dynamic vs an aggro player, i might call

i really really prefer folding though, it's too often you see a player come with 86 there or try to c/r with 78 or c/c the turn with 89 or whatever, and you really have no idea what to do at all and there's basically 0% you get paid off if you hit a straight

50% was just a random number i felt like throwing out because it makes me seem more intelligent

Wow, I would think it's standard to call flop and check turn in 1 and valuetown 2, I'll try to think about it some more.

When you say valuetown in 2 you mean fire both turn and shove river correct? Also assuming you fold to check raise all in on turn?
