Default WPT on GSN now

It looks like the WPT is moving to the Game Show Network. They could not work out an extension with the Travel Channel.

WPT to GSN

Damn I just moved and don't get GSN... not having HSP was bad enough.

Oh well, at least it's not the WSOP

wow so GSN is paying 10 million this season? damn.

well I dont mind, maybe they can change final table structure now but I think thats more a WPT enterprises thing than a travel channel thing.

I do believe thats unlikely to happen as it appears GSN is only paying WPT 60% of what Travel Channel did.

i beleive it is 300K per episode. 23 episodes. im guessing this includes all the ladies night etc.

would be nice if they totally redid the show. new broadcasters better final table format, etc.

http://wickedchopspoker.blogs.com/my...ng_news_w.html

of note GSN has to spend "at least $3,000,000 in marketing costs for each season of the Show licensed by it."

It is rumored/expected that the show will air on Monday nights with High Stakes Poker.

I won't say expect a press release on this today but i'd expect a press release on this today.

so im guessing the formate of the show wont change?

wpt does all the production and not the broadcasting company?

i guess WPT does not realize the show's ratings suck because the format of the show sucks??
