Default First limit play in a while - 10/20 JJ, 26BB pot final

Thoughts on this one please? Haven't played limit in a while. MP 37/11 doesn't seem to really bet when he doesn't have a respectable hand, but he is too loose.

1.) Lead the Flop.
2.) You beat nothing on the river.

If Mp2 is capping the flop and betting the turn, I can't picture a holding he can have that you beat (as mentioned). something is bugging me about the flop, I'm trying to think about how much we give up by folding somewhere in there. Really depends on all reads.

[/ QUOTE ]Are you suggesting hero folds the river? I can't imagine laying down here with 24bb in the pot, especially since the turn wasn't raised. I think you see something screwy here where you win at least 1 in 24 times.

if 1 in 24 he has 10/10, then fair enough.

Actually the turn was one of the only streets I liked. If you're going to have the Js, might as well see the last card. And I'm glad so many suggest folding the flop. I didn't like the 2 cold at all.

The flop was what I was most concerned with.

cdlarmore, i'm not imagining i have a a winner on the flop, but it's a more complicated question than that, examining the possibility I'm beat, implied odds, position, possibility of having to face more bets, etc.

to those saying fold flop what goes through your head before you fold?

I'm thinking that if I call that flop, I may get caught in a much more expensive raise war on the turn. I think the fact that the 3rd spade hit (and happened to be an A) is what calmed the turn down. But on the flop you have no idea where your hand is, you don't close any action, and you have no draw. Seems like a really bad spot to be in.
