Cant remember for the life of me my hotmail password or the answer to my secret question. Does anyone know a way I can hack into my own account?

I remember back in the day I used to be able to brute-force http based logins, but I am sure hotmail has tweaked their system from 5-6 years ago.

Also, you didn't fill in an optional email address? I think the main purpose of this is so you can retrieve your password if it gets lost. Also, what type of secret question did you pick that you cannot remember the answer to?

nope, brute-force hasn't worked on hotmail for at least a couple of years...heh

ur going to need to contact support for this one, don't see how u can get around this if u forgot to fill out that optional email part...

yeah I definately didnt add an alternate email addy. and I cant seem to figure out how to contact support

I do not know if it is even possible to contact support for your free hotmail account. I think you are screwed.

I'm just curious, what was the question you forgot the answer to?

Recently I forgot my password to some trash account, and the secret question I set so many years ago was "qu35t10n?" I had no idea what the hell I was talking about, until I realized that the answer was "4n5w3r."

I definitely got a kick out of it; it was like a joke I setup for myself years ahead of time. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

lol, nice. I had "security questions" like "Why is a mouse?" and the answer would be something like "3".

Maybe you wrote down ? duuhhooohhhhh your SOL - if you dont use it for a period of time - it will be deactivated -I have an e-mail account for junk sign ups - ecards - etc,if I forget to use it for a while - when I sign in I have to activate it again - GL
