Re: 25Nl - 77 in reraised pot
Why do you call the flop if you put him on QQ+?
Depending on my read i like a flop raise being in position, fold to push obv. or fold. I only call if villain never fires on turn again. |

Re: 25Nl - 77 in reraised pot
I don't think he will bet turn with AK. I guess I felt his flop bet a bit weak, don't know if I really should. Of course I won't normally call flop, this was also a stealing situation so he might have occasionally a wider range.

Re: 25Nl - 77 in reraised pot
I think it's okay. Given the preflop action, it's difficult to make much of a flop raise other than a min-raise without practically playing for stacks.
A turn bet is a consideration, but you could be walking right into a checkraise all-in against your TAG opponent, and I think the check is probably better. However, if your read at the table gave you a strong indication that you were up against AK rather than a bigger PP, then a turn bet is probably better than a bluff-inducing check, unless you also had a read that a river bluff was likely to come. |

Re: 25Nl - 77 in reraised pot
if you put him on AK on the turn was your point to induce from him on a blanked river or maybe check behind if he checks? How do you think he would play QQ+ here? it seems like these hands are still very possibly in his range and the river looks more like a value bet than a complete bluff

Villain is a decent TAG, 20/15/2,2. [/ QUOTE ] Why do you play calling machine against a TAG then? Imo, raise the flop or get out... Also, if you put him on QQ+, why did you call PF? Set value? You didn't get your set, so get out! Imo he hardly ever holds AK here... But that's just my 2 cents... |

Re: 25Nl - 77 in reraised pot
Yes I agree that turn bet is at least an option. However the point is that I put about the same amount of money in line that I do when I call the river, difference being I catch some bluffs by checking the turn and sometimes get a cheap showdown.

I dont think betting/raising has any value here, folding just might.
