WVU\'s Beilein going to Michigan
http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaab/news?s...&type=lgns
This sucks, because now the Big 10 will have 1 good coach in it, and michigan will most likely become a powerhouse. Beilein is one of the best coaches in college bball, and he is a decent guy as well, which is good for Michigan given their past transgressions. I expect this team to have a pretty quick turnaround, which is bad for every other team in the Big 10. |

Re: WVU\'s Beilein going to Michigan
I doubt it will be a quick turnaround. Our talent is decent but not great, and because of some bad decisions by Amaker, we are limited in scholarships for the next few years. So even if he proves to be a great recruiter at UM, he isn't going to have the scholarships to take full advantage.

Re: WVU\'s Beilein going to Michigan
He will not need great talent to win, he is that good an Xs and Os coach. His teams usually overperform, and he is in a bad enough conference that Michigan will probably be around the top next year.

[/ QUOTE ] Well, considering the returning talent and incoming recruits of OSU and MSU, we will not be around the top next year no matter who is coaching. Anybody is an improvement over Amaker, but I'll withhold judgement on coach B until I see results. After a decade without an NCAA tourney trip, a lot of UM fans have become apathetic (including me). The key for him will be recruiting instate. We have lost a lot of good recruits in recent years (Al Horford, Joe Crawford, Malik Hairston among others). We have to keep the Michigan talent at home. Hopefully he can do it. |

Your assessment of the big 10 is a joke, particularly that it will now have 1 good coach.

talent wont really be there next year, but beilein's proven he can win w/o top-level recruits...should be interesting to see if he can recruit
