25NL 9-9 line check
I think I butchered this hand pretty bad, but who knows. Villain was about normal for this level.

Re: 25NL 9-9 line check
if he is your regular palyer at these limits he holds JJ+/AK 90% of the time, so I would play this for setvalue.
His bet on the flop could be AK cbetting.if he puts you on a SD there is a possibility you hit it on the turn, but playing 45 in a reraised pot seems strange. He is either giving up on the turn or using potcontrol. If he is giving up his river reraise is quite strange if he has an overpair he might think you are FOS and thinks his QQ+ is good here. Most often I give this hand up on the flop, you are ahead of only 1 hand and dominated by 4. |

Put it in and this hand makes perfect sense... |

Re: 25NL 9-9 line check
Pretty wide from the button. Maybe I overplay medium overpairs in this spot, but whatever. If I'm checking the flop I'm going for a C/R since I'm not a big fan of donking. There's a solid chance he donked into some mess on the river, but for only $4 it's worth calling, if only for info, nevermind that I've seen villain in this spot donk into 2p and still bet it.

Re: 25NL 9-9 line check
So far I've found that the preflop reraising ranges for players at this level are pretty damn narrow, no matter what the position

Re: 25NL 9-9 line check
I hesitate to put him on anything higher than JJ, QQ.

Re: 25NL 9-9 line check
Two tens make the most sense for villain here...checks behind turn for pot control/maybe improve w/ gutter, then min raises when he hits the river for a little bit of value.
Check/call on the flop seems alright, but you're basically hoping he's betting with AK and will shut down when called...I'm not sure how to play the river though, big pairs and AK are probably checking behind with the four straight on board so there might be still be value. However, the line with the min-raise is almost always tens that improved. |
