Cubs line - Opening Day
Hi guys, I'm a noob around here, but I've been following and betting baseball for a while and wanted to ask your opinion on something.
Does anyone find it interesting that the Cubs are only at -110 today? (Betroyal, Opening day morning). For a team that went through such an expensive overhaul and who's starting a projected Cy Young candidate, I'm surprised this line is not higher. I've always felt the Cubs have gotten hyped (not as much as BOS or NYY), but I don't feel it reflected in this line at all. Zambrano's 8-5 lifetime with a 2.80 ERA against the Reds, though he's always been a little rocky in April (4.05 ERA lifetime). Harang, on the other hand, is 5-1 against the Cubs lifetime but has a higher ERA against them (4.26, 4.35 in April). I think the Cubs have the edge in the pitching matchup and though their new and improved lineup remains to be a seen, it should out-hit most teams (Reds included) on paper. I like it. Thoughts? Thanks. |
