Raise light, flop monster draw, face resistance.
I had a big stack at this table, and had won every time I showed down.
I had been stealing quite a bit. Didn't have much on the villain at the time, but he ended up being 17/3.75/0.53. Assume I knew that at the time, would you guys push this as hard? I didn't put him on the straight at all, I had him on overpair or set. I like it if you would also play a set like this sometimes

Re: Raise light, flop monster draw, face resistance.
Actually, that would be standard for sets IMHO on this board as well.

Re: Raise light, flop monster draw, face resistance.
I don't know man. He raised the dangerous board after your continuation bet. Not much you beat. So, when you re-raise him what is he folding there? Not folding a set. Not folding a str8t. I would have put him on a set there as well. So, you are basically hoping he folds a set to your reraise which we know he's not going to do. Your draw needs to get there so you are drawing to 9 outs. I'm not sure I like your reraise there in that spot. Especially if you put him on a set. I'm guessing he insta-called like within 2 seconds?

What is standard here? Why not call all the way to the river if Villain is willing to bet all streets?
What was the turn and river cards? |

Why not call all the way to the river [/ QUOTE ] Simple question for you. Why is betting more +EV, in general, than check calling? |
