This fold is CERTAINLY not standard (in my mind at least). Whether it was correct or not is another question, and depends at least in part on what you know about MP2.
With an uncounterfeitable nut low in a three way pot im inclined to see a showdown and take my possible quartering like a man. |

Why on earth would you call the flop if you're folding to THAT turn? Were you planning on (from what I see I assume so) folding all turns except non-diamonds that complete your wrap?

I was 100% sure SB had a2. Sometimes mp2 has nut low + high. One way hands suck --> my goal is scooping + two-way hands. I thought I could find a better spot. In my experience, you get burnt a lot on these type of hands.

You do have a two way hand. You have a made hand (a pair of 3s) a wrap straight draw and a lock on one side of the pot. Do not underestimate the power of a pair of 3s in this situation.

This is an easy repot on the flop and pot/repot/push on the turn. |

While making quality laydowns is important to being successful in this game, I dont think laying down in this spot is appropriate. What does villian have? Obviously, he has a strong hand or doesnt respect your raises because he led the pot right into you on a flop that "should" fit your hand quite nicely. I'm cool with smooth calling the flop to keep the SB around and maybe even the turn (but most likely jamming the turn). You have low half of the pot locked up with protection, and straight wrap to go with it. Best made villian high hand is JJ which you have outs to, and it is three handed. My thoughts on turn Push>>Call>>>>>Fold
