Posted this in another forum about Adderall. Its pretty much my theory about it from what i've gathered so far. Wanted to get some thoughts on it plus i had more specific questions on neurotransmitters, receptor sites, downregulation, and desensitization etc....
All kinds of people on 2+2 so thought someone here might be a biopych major Adderall theory |

Havn't read your link, but adderall is one of the only things that actualy makes me think clear, and I don't have a MD for it.

ive been taking adderall for 2 months. it has been great adn seemed like a wonder drug. but yesterday i had a frigheting experince. i took my usual 40 mg in the morning and felt gr8 but then i got sick. i began to have a lot of difficulty breathing. in fact, i could get no air into my lungs. i looked at my feet and my toes were blue. my lips were blue too. i also had a dry cough and coughed everytime i exhaled. i then began to vomit but only alittle came up. i then began to dry heave, and it was at this point i thought i was dying. after dry heaving i took a bunch of clozaril to go to sleep and resign myself to my fate. luckily i woke up and felt fine, except for very bad chest pains that lasted another 5 hours after waking. but imk fine now and no more adderall for me.
my doctor said i had an allergic reaction which happens in less than 1 percent of those who take it, but i thought id warn you about this drug. its widely prescribed, but it is speed and speed can kill you. |

They'll give you a screening form that is approved by insurances. It's self-report traditionally.

Its wonderful stuff but it should not be used in the long term due to the possible effect it can have on your brain's dopamine receptors.

Just read this:
"Adderall is a nasty drug to a lot of those who have been prescribed them and so being one of those people, don't mess around with it" lol, what a sheep that guy. Did the DEA tell him to phrase it just like that too? Jeez, now I see how Reefer Madness got made in the thirties. |
