C'mon now. The difference between 2nd and 3rd is not that significant.

yes, you do have a choice. Push or...
Limp with the plan to call the inevitable push by the BB. I think i like this a little better. The difference between 2nd and 3rd is only $50, while the difference between 1st and 2nd is $100. Doing this gives you a HUGE chance to take it down, and now that you're ITM, thats what you want to do. With JJ i just open push, but with QQ, theres a much bigger chance that he has 2 undercards, and you will be happy. |

Okay limp/call looks good too
edit: Actually limp/call looks more likely to be ~0 EV, I messed up my calculation the first time |

No you don't.
If the BB honestly has one of the two hands that he can beat you with, more power to him. If you've been pushing in this tourney previously (my guess is no) then just push because BB will call you with any real hand. If you haven't, you COULD limp in and try to let him catch top pair (chances are he doesnt even have an A or a K). But I would rather either push or raise to 1200 and then push any flop because of the 240 short stack. |

Push.
If he always calls, you have to win 82.3% of the time. So in that case you would have to fold, but if you have any kind of folding equity you would have to push. You can't push very often in this spot, but QQ is an insta-shove. |

[/ QUOTE ] If i'm the BB, and you limp into me here, im pushing any two cards because of the VERY short stack. I think this is a good spot to take advantage of this vs. almost any opponent. And if not, just play the rest of the hand semi-passively. |
