Default 20/40. Passive line with AA, you like?

20/40 CAZ 9 handed

Villan is a decent player. One of the tighter players in the 20 game and fairly aggresive. Never really seen him get out of line. He has taken 2 pretty bad beats, like runner runner or rivered set to his overpair or whatever it was, but they were the 2 prior hands to this one.

I have seen Villan open, get 3-bet, then c/f the flop twice in the last few orbits, hence my reasoning for this line.

Folds to Villan in MP somewere, Villan opens, hero 3-bets AA, folds around villan calls.

flop J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Villan bets, hero calls

turn 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Villan bets, hero calls.

river: 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Villan bets, hero raises.

Very nice, I like it a lot given read. Great river for it too, as you beat JT.

It depends on how you play, but there is nothing bad to be said about it.

Don't like. Even if he has a c/f type hand on the flop, it's gutshot-y enough that a tilt-prone player is probably going to try to spike so you want to get in more bets.

No, I hate it

calling the flop is fine to set up a raise on the turn

I don't like the call on the turn. He may be semi-bluffing and call the turn raise but give up on the river when he misses. It worked well for you that he thought his hand was good enough to bet the river. He probably has AJ or something and will call you. But I think that your check on the turn will lead to a check fold on the river lots more often and you will miss a bet.

Hass, on the flop when you devised this plan did you give any consideration to what river cards you would not be raising and if so what were they.

I don't have any strong feelings either way. I doubt you drew out on him with the 3, but it would be awesome if you did.

I would probably just raise the turn and play it from there.

Too draw heavy of a board to get cute on. I will sometimes do this vs a thinking player on a dry board, but you're putting zero pressure on 5 out/8out hands in a pot that's big enough to fight for.
