Default Stars modding

Has anyone figured out a way to block Stars from updating the files every time you change them? So [censored] annoying; can't see why I shouldn't be able to use my own images.

I have the same problem on FT and find the best solution is just to zip the graphics folder after I make modifications and extract it after updates.

Have you tried making them read only (perhaps Stars might not have the code implemented to unset the read only flag)?

Stars detects any changes every time you run it, downloads the 'correct files' and overwrites the changed ones.

This is what I do
create a batch file to copy your changed files, run pokerstarsupdate.exe file, then paste your changed files back after the update

If that works for you I guess its OK, but, the fact that stars checks the integrity of the client files before you play is probably a plus in terms of security.
