Default double stacked, turned set facing big river bet......

been playing pretty well this session, up 500 or so over 3 tables, stacked the villain b4 when i reraise QQ to 40 preflop and get it allin on a rag board by the turn to his TT. ive sen him get in 100 with top pair/weak kicker and suck out on 2 pair and hes check/called 2 pair on flop and bet 'top and 3rd pair' at river, got reraised by a regular and reraised back but lost to a 'top 2' pair. basically he's not very good or tricky but when bets always has some sort of hand. then this comes up....

Hero ($409.25)(3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img])
SB ($379.40)
BB ($218.05)

Preflop:
hero raises to $10, SB calls $9, BB folds. (it took him a while to call this bet)

Flop: ($22) Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, bets $15, SB calls $15.

Turn: ($52) 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, hero bets $50, SB raises to $100, hero calls $50.

River: ($252) 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB bets $150 hero...............

so 150 to win 400?

obviously the preflop and flop are pretty standard ip bets but his slow call means hes got something at least. hit the bingo card on the turn and get min c/r. obv folding out of the question, then he finally wakes up at the river. opinions please on the river and hand in general....

Why do you call his minraise on the turn? Wouldnt it be better to 3bet? Just an idea....

if i raise turn, how much would you suggest, any amount virtually commits me if he pushes and then i'll almost certainly be behind. i only see 44 QQ or 56 coming with me and they all beat me.

illuminati- can you expand further on what hands you put him on to call pf, c/c flop, c/r turn min and value bet 150 into 250 at river? i dont think its as easy call as you might suggest. the way i read it i only beat a bluff, what do you see different?

Dude you have a monster and villain, going by your description, is a complete moron and stacks off too light. How is this anything but a shove? Sorry you lost but I felt this all the time vs. this player and those of his ilk.

Stop being so results orientated and out-thinking a pretty simple situation. His range is clearly not JUST higher sets from the read you provided. He thinks KQ is the nuts here.

I'm sure 90%+ of the forum agree with me here.

the problem with just calling the turn and thinking that only better sets call is that 1) it's just ludicrous 2) he can be semibluffing and we'll need to protect what is a very good hand.

yes, if he shoves over our 3b we're probably behind, but we're not there yet and even so we'll have to call and fill.

as played call river

The more I read the OP reads the more I laugh at even thinking of folding this/not raising turn.
