take a free card or not ?
30-60 game(6max) on stars i have qj diamonds on botton, one limper and bb call the raise
flop comes: 2d 4d 10c, bb checks limper bets out, i raise bb folds, limper calls turn 8s, limper checks now do i take a free card and check as well or do i bet out and hope he called with some nonesense and take it down there please post your opinions thanks |

Re: take a free card or not ?
without reads or your image, i think its close - with you being on the button villain will go to showdown lighter so it may be better in this particular spot to check/fold, but with 40% equity against most ranges i'd fire turn and river unimproved and expect to get paid off in other hands if not this one

Re: take a free card or not ?
I think it is a pretty clear check. If there turn card was >10 I would bet.

Re: take a free card or not ?
I think this is really dependent on reads, but my default would be to check.

You would have about 15 outs (counting your overcards as 1.5 outs each) to 28 non-outs (i removed the ten we put him on from the distribution), almost a 2:1 dog. I don't think you have any fold equity in betting and you'd need to callers to have a value bet. |

In more aggro games I wouldn't raise the flop but in this game it seems fine, you got the free card, he's never folding a pair or ace high on this board, nice hand if you hit it you might even get a raise in. -DeathDonkey |

Re: take a free card or not ?
betting turn and river is viable if you think he will fold a small pair. i usually never take this assumption.
really, you gotta just pull some ninja [censored] and hit ur card. |

Re: take a free card or not ?
I think it is a must bet how many times u see a7 bet out that flop and put one more bet in because he already had 30 in. there is a big chance you can take it down right there
