Default TT - River Decision

Limit: $1/$2
9 players

I have mixed reads on villain i'm afraid so i'm not sure how much of a help they are.
Stats: 40/20/1.6 (100 hands)
I have seen him flop trips and slowplay by calling a flop bet and c/r the turn with one other opponent
I have also seen him flop middle pair with a weak kicker and c/r into a preflop raiser.

Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is MP1 with T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
2 folds, Hero raises, 5 folds, BB calls.

Flop: 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4.5SB, 2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls.

Turn: A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3.25BB, 2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls.
Given my reads i'm pretty sure the turn[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] did not give him a flush or he would have bet/raised

River: K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5.25BB, 2 players)
BB checks, Hero ???

Can a case be made here for a value bet?
Does the river card force us to check behind?

I knew your answer would be unique....

How is the K a blank?
If it was a 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] or a 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] then its a blank and i'm firing all day long but a K?

Aww, c'mon, you have a set. What are you afraid of?

btw, your reads are pretty much in order and make very much sense. They show that villain is most likely a thinking LAG.

He slowplays his monsters trying to generate max action, and tries to protect his marginal hands on the flop to minimize RIOs.

a 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] would've completed the straight draw

how is the K not a blank? he called 3 times. clearly your excellent hand-reading skills indicate that he has exactly KK or QJ.

did i say hand-reading? i meant pattern mapper.

check behind the river, pat yourself on the back, and go have brunch with HighStakesPro in the land of Q6o and not betting with 2pair and sets.

(e: got the jackass's name wrong.)

Are you telling me its inconceivable that a guy could draw to 4 outs without the correct pot odds?

"bet 2 pair", "bet sets". great advice most of the time but are there never situations in this game when find out strong hands beaten and dont follow the blanket, general advice you offer???
Isn't this game all about losing the least when behind and winning the most when ahead???

Have you ever heard that a set of Q's is the worst possible nut hand on any board after the river? It's because most boards have straight possibilities.

[/ QUOTE ]That's exactly why you at least b/c the river. I'm sure you're ahead more than 50% of the time here. I think it looks obvious to the rest of us.

edit: typo
