4/180 : 99 responding to a raise and reraise
No one out of line ... a little loose as befitting a 4/180.
This spot always irritates me and I need a standard response I can be happy with PokerStars Tournament, Big Blind is t100 (9 handed) Converter on pregopoker.com UTG (t1645) UTG+1 (t1680) MP1 (t1320) MP2 (t3240) MP3 (t3170) CO (t1425) Hero (t1590) SB (t1570) BB (t2530) Preflop: Hero is in Button with 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] UTG folds, UTG+1 raises to t200, MP1 raises to t400, MP2 folds, MP3 folds, CO folds, Hero ???, |

Re: 4/180 : 99 responding to a raise and reraise
The min-raise would have me worried because I see tons of min-rasing big PPs and AK. Calling is no good because we can't really be sure what UTG1 is going to do.
I say fold. |

I think you made the right play.

Well calling would be really bad IMO. Either push or fold. Without a read on the min-raiser, I would interpret it as strength and fold here. FWIW, JJ is probably a shove.

Re: 4/180 : 99 responding to a raise and reraise
fold. the min-raise UTG+1 seems strange enough but the re-raise from MP1 is a clear sign to get out of there (your stack ist not large enough to call for set value)

Re: 4/180 : 99 responding to a raise and reraise
I take it that the main reason we cant call here is that UTG could well shove this?? So say we were on the button and raised, sb re raised and bb called, we would be fine to call this?

[/ QUOTE ] Nope. Maybe if it were heads-up we could call. But against to opponents, our 99 is not likely to be the best hand and too many overcards can come on the flop that we have to fold to. The only other reason to call is for set value, but we don't have enough implied odds to call (need somewhere around 10:1). So reasons not to call: 1) No implied odds. 2) Our hand isn't strong enough to hold up unimproved against two villains' ranges. |

Readless I probably need QQ+ here to play after this increadibly obvious strenght shown to us by the two villains.

Yeah ... I folded ... shove QQ here though and maybe JJ with the right read. Like if I had seen these two in a BvB battle earlier or some trash in the chat box.
