Sounds like the Gutshot is your best bet for those stakes.
I'd say you're best off buying in for £200 to the £50+ which has £1/£2 blinds, and have a few rebuys if needeed. People buy in anywhere from £50 to £500, sometimes but not that often more.

No NL at the Vic, but some very wild Pot Limit games, £3-£3 and £5-£5, most players straddle and flops are usually 4-ways or more, so the pot gets interesting quite soon. Level of play is varied, plenty of pure gamblers, a few solid players (such as Neil Channing) and a few nits. People usually sit very deep in both games, I've seen players with £12k behind in the £3-£3 game, but around £3k is more common (min is £100). So ultimately it depends on who you got at the table: hard to make money off Willie Tann, Channing, Bambos etc., but if you got the donks you get to see £1k pots where bottom pair no kicker beats high card Jack at showdown, and other crazy stuff.
Overall, I'd say that if you are comfortable with $1/$2 on Stars and you adjust to Pot Limit (which I found very tricky at first) you'll enjoy it.

If you're in town on a Tuesday, Thursday or Sunday you can try to see if you can get a seat at the Palm Beach. I think it might have changed lately, but a few weeks ago they used to spread a £5-£5 Pot Limit game which was unbelievably soft, although it largely revolved around a couple of feeders. If you're lucky enough to get a seat (they only got 3 tables) and you got the right people at the table it can be an exhilarating experience.

PM me if you want info/background about individual players.
