Default 50NL Rivered Str8. Paired Board.

I think this is pretty straight forward but it gave me some problems as time ticked away.

Villain is 50/30/2 over a small sample size. He is aggro and I haven't seen any cards from him yet.

Deadmoney in this hand is LAG as well. But I really have only small sample size HUD data. I don't have any reads. I expected one of them to bet the flop.

Full Tilt Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) Hand History converter Courtesy of PokerZion.com

MP ($23.80)
CO ($50)
Hero ($95.90)
SB ($49.50)
BB ($77.50)
UTG ($109.05)

Preflop: Hero is Button with T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG calls $0.50, 2 folds, Hero raises to $2.25, 1 fold, BB calls $1.75, UTG calls $1.75.

BB checks, UTG checks, Hero checks.

BB checks, UTG bets $3, Hero calls $3, BB calls $3.

meh, draws - priced in. QJ anyone?

River: ($16) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB checks, UTG bets $14, Hero...

I nearly timed out before I acted here as all I saw were monsters when the K hit. As time runs down, it looks like a busted flush to me. Call...Raise anyone? only boats call a raise right, any random Jx pay off a raise?

Anyone fold here?

if you're going to call the turn bet, you have to call that river bet when you hit. raising is spew.

Here is a lesson you need to learn and you need to learn fast. Straight draws and flush draws are not worth a thing on paired boards unless you KNOW your opponent inside and out.
The problem is when you do make your hand and you are put to the test like this you are probably beaten but may have the odds you need to call.
Consider for a second the type of hands that will call your pre flop raise and I know the one opponent seems loose but you don't even seem to be considering the other caller. AK, AQ, AJ, AT, KQ, KJ, QJ, low pocket pairs. A lot of these hands you beat and a lot you don't. Odds are one of your opponents has something here at least a better straight the way I see it or you may chop. Are you going to dish out $14 to maybe chop a $30 dollar pot.

I fold on the turn.

Edited because I forgot to answer your question.
I fold the river because I like my money.

This is not being put to the test. Simply a relatively small PSB on a paired board.

How do you figure if you are not put to the test here and this is so cut and dry then why post it here. The way I see it. There are a ton of hands that beat you on the river, you even have the low end of the straight. You are put to the test now that you have made your hand.

Agreed. You're getting over 2:1 on your money, and you don't think you're getting shown a lone jack here 1/3 of the time? If you call on the draw on the turn you can't possibly fold the river if you hit: why call on the turn then?

Just playing devil's advocate:

Given preflop action, what range of Jx hands are we putting villain on? TJ-AJ? Wider? If it's just TJ-AJ AND we have a T in our hand, how often are we winning on the river, even with 2:1 odds?

Again, I'm not commenting on what is right or wrong (at this buyin or others), just pointing out a discussion about hand ranges.
