Default turnplay - trips drawing to the nut flush in a large pot

Hi all,

was 3betting the flop spew? I was almost sure to have the best hand. How should I continue with the the FD?

villain is a thinking TAG who is certainly not bluffing.

Preflop: hero is MP3 with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

Flop: (6.40 SB) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
BB checks, MP2 checks, <font color="#CC3333">hero bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">BB raises</font>, MP2 folds, <font color="#CC3333">hero 3-bets</font>, hero calls.

Turn: (7.20 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">BB bets</font>, hero ???

This seems to be a good card giving me plenty of outs...
but I was hoping for an A or a T. What now?

Thoughts?

Raise/call. The flop 3bet is the opposite of spew.

This pot isn't that large.

However, that doesn't change the fact that you have an awsome hand. Please raise lots. The flop 3-bet is a good start. Now raise the turn.

Wookie, you are that sure that he has a flush that you don't cap the turn given the chance?

What hands do you c/r this flop with and donk the turn if you aren't bluffing? A flush is going to be a big part of them.

Boats, too. This isn't a case of going into call down mode and being sad and expecting to lose. It's more that I don't want to continue to be worked by better hands, even though I expect to win my fair share.

It just seemed like a strange line for a flush. If villan is a thinking player, why would he c/r a flush draw on the flop? Woudn't a c/c or b/c line be better for a flopped flush draw?

I guess you are right, if he 3-bets the turn, we are probably drawing. It just seems strange to me.

As games have gotten tougher, this not uncommon to see from flush draws played by TAGs.

QT crossed my mind, but I didn't want to be called Mubsy McMubsface.

I was hoping it would be something like K/J/9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]T. But I guess I'm clutching at straws there.

Raise. Easy raise.

If he 3-bets, I'd just call, but you have so many outs if behind, it's ridiculous.

why is a thinking TAG not bluffing ... a thinking TAG is most certainly bluffing (semi bluffing / making a pressure)

I think a likely likely holding for villain is like QJ and is probably bet/folding here ... or a KT, QT, JT (you beat two!)

his turn donk is really suspicious! ... it looks like he either want to bet/fold or bet/3bet (hoping you were pushing a hand he crushes ... ie - he holds QT) ...

I'm really wanting to just call the turn here ... I don't want the raise/fold scenario to happen (not that rasie/calling is bad ... either you have outs or some chance or being goot)

also: since we have position, I might like a raise on the river (maybe) ....

wow - not really sure ... there is a lot going on in this hand
