($16 turbo stars) Fun bubble hand, using SnGPT lesson
I'm getting EXACTLY 2:1. 1100 to win 2200. Villian seems decent but hasn't been pushbotting crazily though we just got to 200/400. He is on more than one of my tables. I pushed on his BB two hands ago.
The bottom line here is what range do you put him on and how much of a minimum edge do you require for yourself? PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t400, Ante is 25 (4 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) UTG (t4460) Button (t1525) SB (t5025) Hero (t2490) Preflop: Hero is BB with Xx, Xx. 1 fold, Button raises to t1500, 1 fold, Hero ???? |

Re: ($16 turbo stars) Fun bubble hand, using SnGPT lesson
This is really down to what range he is shoving with. Given the information its like how long is a piece of string. The min edge question does not matter as if you get his range wrong adjusting your min edge will not compensate enough.

Re: ($16 turbo stars) Fun bubble hand, using SnGPT lesson
that's what i'm saying, that's why it's a using SnGPT lesson. in other words when using sngpt you have to first come up with his range, then come up with what it's correct to call with

Re: ($16 turbo stars) Fun bubble hand, using SnGPT lesson
It would depend a bit on his bubble play, if I know hes shoving a huge range here since hes very short and on the button I maybe be calling something like K10+, 77+, A8+ not really sure. Assuming his stack did not change, the closer I was to his stack the wider I am calling but I think we need to call fairly wide or else we even things out between our stack and his.
If he hardly ever shoves then I'm folding (without obv calling hands) and looking for better spots. |

Re: ($16 turbo stars) Fun bubble hand, using SnGPT lesson
Ehh I don't know, I tend to like calling looser with K10 over 66 in these situations as you are almost always flipping with 6s and often I find myself beating an ATC shove with K10 and similar hands. Not sure it is correct though.

Nice lesson on the importance of putting someone on a range.
Hint put him on several ranges and see what is +EV to call with against those ranges. |

Re: ($16 turbo stars) Fun bubble hand, using SnGPT lesson
You have to be better then his pushing range here. SNGPT still does not tell us what range he is shoving with. We have to be able to decide that ourselves. This is the part of ICM/SNGPT that is the most important, get right and you are there. Me I still have a lot of work to do in this department, putting people on ranges and calling accordingly.

Re: ($16 turbo stars) Fun bubble hand, using SnGPT lesson
Right, but you can gather from what he should be pushing to figure out his range with SNGPT since we know he is a decent player.
