Analyze my friends finish distribution

Hey, I have a friend I have been coaching the last couple of months who seems to have a good feel for the game but has poor stats. I looked at his finish distribution and it looks completely off. Can you tell by his distribution what he might be doing wrong or if he's just running really bad?

His stats are:

games- 3,602
avg stake- $11
roi- 5%

I'd venture to say that he might be playing too many hands too early on. Too many finishes in the 6th-7th spots.

clearly needs help with bubble play, but I am sure he has the correct numbers available ... maybe too tight at the start (see lack of 8-9 finishes) and is therefore small stacked at bubble time.

Also more seconds and thirds than firsts.

Too tight is what I would say ... maybe playing a little scared

He's def tight early on, and on the bubble if anything he's too tight.

yea i thought it was more tight than loose. maybe something to do with having an akward stack mid game. like 15bb at 75/150 or something. i had this problem like a year ago

Id say he's too tight...waiting til he has a good hand, getting himself blinded down, and having to push anytwo with 3bb or something
