Default Why cant somebody hurry up and do this?

Ok obviously everybody knows thecashdb and pokeredge isn't allowed by the toc of most sites like stars. but all it really takes is somebody to setup a site where people post hand histories. have a group of people uploading massive amounts of hand histories where people can download them and just add them to their pt database. you can even charge monthly subscription, and give discount rates to people who contribute alot of hands to the database. have some kind of ftp server that you connect to, to download new hand histories that come out every day. I imagine a website setup like this would attract alot of buisness. Why hasn't anybody done it yet?

No-one would want to contribute the hands they played themselves for obvious reasons. You would need some of the dataminers like Tao_Jones.

I did this last year, set up a proper domain-name site (www.hand-histories.com) and used a vBulletin forum account to control access to the hand histories which were stored there.

Trouble was it took up huge amounts of time when I could have been playing poker for the sake of twenty-odd people who were interested to mine the histories, manage the ones other people were sending me, do all the other miscellaneous admin [censored], and promote it. Good luck if you want to try it.

I've put the site back up temporarily so you can get an idea what it all looked like. Again, it's http://www.hand-histories.com
