Hooters LV and Downtown LV trip report

After staying in Henderson for a few days with family, I met up with my friend, my sister and her boyfriend, over at Hooters LV, where we got a free room for the first 3 nights, and a low rate for friday. I had about $430 to last me till saturday, and I just hoped I didn't lose.

tuesday
Arrived about 2pm on Tuesday and quickly threw all my stuff into the room. I busted out an apple and started smoking that cali green, made me feel like a winner. Ten minutes later I headed down to the poker room to short buy for $50 at $1/2 NL, few hands down, PF re-raise to $16 from a $8 bet. I had AK, he had A10, he hit his 10 on the turn, and took my little stack. The Hooters room is not great but its not bad either. There are only 3 tables, and usually only one is going, but sometimes two, and its always 1/2$ NL, $50 min buy, no max. They also occasionally have employee tournaments on one of the other tables.

I realize how broke I am, and I knew of at that time only one place for broke ass fools like me, and thats the El Cortez. With no one else willing to go, I borrow the car and head for downtown. I arrive at the EC, get on the list for poker which is not moving, and lay a few bets on craps, ending up down $10. After a few drinks and stil high off the chronic, I decide to explore my only final frontier in vegas, downtown beyond the el cortez, the opposite way of fremont.

Buzzed and bored, I walk towards the Western, go inside, and start playing some penny slots. Pimps and hoes, gambling probs and drug dealers, this had to be the ghettoest casino anyone has ever seen. I head to the bathroom, [censored] is on the floor, and two guys are arguing over a small drug deal, "come on [censored] ill give you $3 for it".. but the dealer persisted he would take no less than $5! After that I hit the roullette table w/ 25c chips, a local warns me "dont come back here around night," and then I catch a little jungle fever and I go hit on some skeeze at the bar there.

Me and the might-be-a-hoe i just met roll down to Binions for dinner and we eat. Couldnt convince her to come back to the hotel, we roll back to EC and I get a half-assed handjob in the car. It sucked, but at least i didn't have to pay anything. After that I pretend im going back to my hotel, but really just shaking her, and after that she goes back to the western, and I go back to the EC poker room to find a seat waiting for me. I get dealt KK once, and that was the only eventful hand... ended the EC drunk and up $4.

After that I headed back to hooter's and bought in full, this was around 10pm. Played for 3 hours and I made about $40, nothing too exiting. Went back upstairs, smoked again, and hit the strip with everyone who came for a few hours. Its about 4am when I get back and I'm in the mood for some skeeze. The search leaded to nothing!

Wednesday
Wake up at about 2pm... hit the pool which is freezing cold, and then go smoke again. Played some poker for about an hour, then went back to the el cortez for some low limit excitement. Lost $30 there, then came back to the room. At about 11pm I hit the strip again with my friend who flew in from socal. Looking for skeeze but to no avail. I call it quts at about 1am and go back to the room to smoke, where I fall asleep for about 3 more hours. I wake up at 4 and I am horny again, so I go look around for some skeeze. I first hit the MGM bar where there is nobody, I guess expected for a Wednesday, and I lower my standards to 'just bag a butterface.' FINALLY, a find a chick with a hot body and a soso face at a slot machine at the hooters, I smell a pro, but she doesnt have the getup for it. I initiate some small talk and ask her to come up to the room to smoke in the bathroom, because everyone else is a sleep.
We get to the bathroom, thankfully no one wakes up, I grab the stuff and a swisher, and roll up a blunt in the bathroom. About 2/3 the way through it, I put some moves on, start making out with her, then guide her head to the right spot. A few minutes later a pull down the pants to find a nice, juicy, 40 some inch ass. I had her bend over on the sink and I boned the .... out of her. With the mirror in front, it was kinda like starring in my own porno. When we finish we go down and have a couple drinks and she goes on her way back the California club where she was staying. thankfully no one woke up.

Thursday
I slept in till about 2, and then decided to make it a mostly poker day. My friend and I rolled to the hooters room and played for about 2 hours. FINALLY, a DOUBLE UP, I got aces and turned my 100 into about 220. Then we rolled over to the tropicana, where I get a straight draw costing me $40. The tropicana room was pretty standard. Decent dealers, and they had auto shufflers, a definate plus. Drinks were kinda slow compared to hooter's and the EC though.

Then on to the Wynn for some $1/3 NL. Finally some good drinks in cups and not shots. When I order a Grand M on the rocks, I get 3-4 shots in a glass, instead of a measly shot and a half like all the other casinos. Nothing eventful there, finished up about $20.

Hopped on the deuce, and back to downtown again for some 1/2 NL at the nugget. New room there, well at least new to me, since last time it was much smaller. Dealers were pretty decent, drinks were kinda slow for a downtown spot. Played with a guy who claimed to be a prison guard, and he kept hating on my friend for no good reason. He kept drunkily ranting about how 'the blacks and mexicans' are taking over the country and that we now live in the 3rd world. I get a set, and Aces again, leaving me up about $80.

My friend decides to stay and play when I get a call from the girl I met at the Western, she wants me to come visit her at her motel, past the western. If I wasnt so buzzed i would have never made the walk, but I proceeded past the western about 1/4 mi to some crappy one story motel which I don't remember the name of. On the way I saw the ghettoest things: undercover cops busting drug dealers, many many whores on the street, and people that just look like theyve lost everything. I get there and we get inside. She starts messing around a little bit, and then asks, so what you got for me? I was like wtf, and told her, if anything, you should be paying me, [censored] off, and I left. I knew it was a good possibility she was a hoe, but it was fun to act offended anyway. On the way back some guy just wont stop trying to sell me his rocks, saying how his rocks are so good, he keeps flashing them at me. I finally get back to the nugget where I feel like i just stepped into the wynn, get my friend and we head back to hooters.

Another blunt rolled, and another skeeze hunt. We dont feel like going to a club and I didn't even bring proper shoes, so to O'sheas we go for drunken debauchery. My friend's nuts shrink up or something and he does nothing. I find a lonely girl at the bar, ask her if she likes to smoke, and within 5 mins were on a cab headed back to hooters. She starts getting all nasty in the cab, jumping on top of me and putting her [censored] in my face. We get to the room, had good luck that no one was there, we smoke a blunt roach, and get to the nastiness. Right after we both crash, and in the morning everyone is asking me 'who the hell is that' and i say its just a girl who came to smoke and fell asleep. She wakes up, I cant remember her name and she cant remember mine, we both say nice seeing you, and she leaves the room to head back to wherever she stayed because she was leaving that morning.

Friday and Saturday
Friday I just played a bit at the Hooters room, maybe for an hour or so. Spent most the day sleeping and at the pool. Pretty uneventful... we went to Coyote Ugly which was pretty boring, at least we didn't have to pay full price. Drinks were a rip off and not good. Crashed pretty early since we were leaving saturday. On saturday I just played a few slots and VP, and we left around 3pm.

cliff notes: went to the worst parts of LV (past el cortez in downtown), and one of the best (Wynn). stayed at hooters for free most the time, and got some skeeze twice. lesson learned: bring smoke and u will get some easy.

it's just those drinks... the wynn is nice but the walk is hell and i dont like the blind/chip structure... but when you get that straight alc they just fill it up nicely

Thats a bad area...real bad, but not even close to the worst. The worst designation is saved for those very special places that are the Vegas versions of the projects.
