Default Is this game beatable?

1/2 NL, House rakes 10% up to $10 from each pot. Players are generally horrible, loose passive, take top pair bad kicker hands too far, chase draws etc. etc. Clearly EASILY beatable without such an offensive rake, but the rake is so high i'm wondering if it's even beatable.

On the positive side, free drinks and food (usually pizza or fajitas ordered, plus there are munchies).

Where is this? Doesn't sound like a legal room in the US.

If they are all loose passive fish, yeah its beatable. Play a TAG game, don't play a lot of pots, don't pay the rake often, hope everyone reloads, and get paid off. The rake is gross, but if the players are bad enough that can overcome it. If they are decent a ton of money will go down the drain while you are pushing money back and forth and its probably not worth it.

But then again...

I go to a similar home game, except they usually have BBQ instead of fajitas. I'm beating it after playing about 300 hours.

You are paying about $10 extra per hour compared to a US casino. This is a similar rake to continental Europe. The free food may make up for it.
