Default How would you play this AK? 400nl

I need help playing this 2/4nl hand.

Villain runs at 34/28/3.5. And seems to be a pretty good lag player. I know he's been making a lot of plays on me, and they're working.

I was just wondering what you thought of my line, and what a better line would be for this board. Also, what do you make of villains shove on the river?

hero folds. I think he most likely has you beat, he knows he has been making lots of moves on you so i think he is making this shove for a reason most of the time.

Would you check this turn as well? Or would you fire another bet and fold to a reraise?

i like this check, i think its the best line with the Ah. you dont wanna get pushed off your hand on the turn with the nut FD.

turn check is good.

you don't want to get blown off when you have a redraw to the nuts.

I think you played it well

Im finding it really difficult to put villain on a hand that plays this way. If he has 44 or 66 isnt he raising himself out of the blinds? If he has two random Hearts (KQ) isnt he raising himself out of the blinds?

Id just like to know what you think he has to make t his fold ?

Turn check is nice tho.

Well I didn't play this hand as nice as you all thought. After he shoved the river, I was very confused. I took a lot of time to think.

Although I didn't discount 44, and 66 from being out of his range, however, I discounted those hands because I figured that on that turn, he would protect those hands by at least leading out with that heart turn to protect against me getting a free card just in case I had a single heart (which I did).

It may have been possible that he slowplayed AA as well, but for the same reasons as above, plus the fact that I had AK, made this holding very unlikely as well.

Since I he had been pushing me out of a lot of pots, I figured that in his mind I may have been playing quite scared, so I thought it was something like AQ or perhaps a mid PP like 88s or 99s trying to push me out.

Turns out my read was completely off, and the villain played his hand very well against me.
