Default Sbrugby\'s $1.2 million downswing

"my largest downswing March 27, 2007

I am on the biggest downswing of my life that reached 1.2 million dollars today. Most of the losses have come at PLO and just in the past week. Its funny I don't even care about the money, its more that I just hate to lose. I have also been outplayed through this stretch. I only have myself to blame for my losses, as I haven't been playing my best. I also have to give credit to my opponents who have played extremely well against me.

This downswing has caused me to do some reflecting. I sometimes forget how fortunate I am. I have things so good, even though times are tough. I have a great supportive family, great friends, a puppy I love, am in great health, have a great "job" with tons of freedom, live in a mansion, drive an awesome great car, own my own business, and have fully loaded retirement package so I could not work another day in my life. I don't know many 25 year olds who have everything together as well as I do. Sometimes it's easy to get caught up in the short term and forget about all the other great things in life."

I thought this hand against Woeisme was interesting compared to how PLO 200/400 normally plays out. Sbrugby's opponent flops a monster, but rather than raising he lets Sbrugby do it for him, disguising his hand and using Brian's aggression against him:

His "I don't even care about the money" line kinda makes me think he won't have to sell anything for awhile

My bid is $50 for the puppy

Yeah it's like when you read Britney owes $10 million, but she's still out the next day buying a house in Malibu. Massive debts + massive earning power beats small debts, small earning power any time.
