anyone make a decent amount on CAFEPRESS?
looking into designing images and selling items thru cafepress.
i did a search and, surprisingly, only came up with one brief thread that didnt have much to it - is it because cafepress doesnt work? experiences/comments/ideas?

I am just starting (just for fun) and I don't see how you could ever make a decent profit from this site. The prices are high and if you look at the number of designs submited on the site it is enormous! Why would anyone buy your shirt over anyone elses..unless you of course are advertising other ways.

The margin is really slim, but I haven't done anything online that makes more money for less effort than cafepress. It takes me about an hour to do a design and apply it to products. From there they do all the work. I'm not getting rich, but if I put forth the effort making new products and maybe some advertising, I'm sure I could make some good spending money.
According to their forum stickies, some people claim to make six figures.
