Default Trying to learn this game...can I avoid this hand?

I had a hard time putting him on K-K-x-x or A-A-x-x with the line he took. I thought the most likely hand was 3's full of aces. Was this just a cooler or could it have been avoided? Thanks in advance for the insight.

cooler.

however, you could consider check calling the river against good opponents.

Bet the flop and consider just calling the river raise (check calling is retarded) against an average opponent.

River raise is very flimsy, the only hand that coudl possibly call you and lose is A3.

I think you are having reading problems again. I was suggesting that when joelsiev made it $0.74 to go on the river he should consider just calling.

No, I was adding to your answer explaining why raising on river is bad.

I agree with everything I quoted, and I added why I could just call the raise.

But yes... I see how I could have been misinterpreted. English isn't my first language though, so I got an excuse.

1) Fold this hand preflop.
2) Calling the river raise is probably best, players at low limits are often sticky with Aces, but his action doesn't really seem like he has that (I'd expect him to raise preflop/flop with it, even at the lowest limits.)

As played, only thing I'd change is calling the river raise instead of repopping, especially 200BB deep. If he raises the flop though, not much you can do but stack off to a cooler. But honestly, I don't even think your river line is that bad. He could've been calling with a 3 and made 3s full. This is just a cooler, I think everything is fine.

I was in the BB.

I considered just calling the river check-raise but ultimately put him on 3's full. Bad analysis but I have learned from it. Thanks for all the comments.
