i think this fold is okay, this line often a monster.

however, some players will pull a stop and go with marginal hands as well. i assume they figure you will ditch your overcards/middle pairs (assuming you are raising and betting flops consistently) and if they are beat, they can shut down. typically, players that call too much prelfop, particularly OOP, make this move.

pot amounts look wrong...

dunno, i see people play like this with mid pairs or more likely with an overpair to the board like TT, though the board is usually more raggy than this...

i don't mind letting this go, anyone think it might be effective to pop this back up because a set from villian might have raised the flop thinking we had a big PP and he wanted to get it going with his set...reraise is that bad??

what i am saying, is if you have a player that will call OOP with speculative hands. Lets say he called with like 79s or something here. i will often see this type of player c/c --> lead the turn and then not put any more money in the pot if they get called. I guess this is there way of combating aggressive position players. it can get frustrating if you are not paying attention and the keep pulling the stop and go against you, but obviously its pretty exploitable if you find them taking this line too often.

man, i think a tight villian donking flop and then donking turn looks like a play from a pair and not a set...

Could be a monster under the bed. Could be a draw trying to control pot size. Tough situation. I have folded, raised, and called in this situation before, with mixed results.

i dont like a fold here, often the player will have a mid pair or top pair type of hand and trying to define his hand right here

i think a call is good and fold to a river bet, but normally will be checked to you on river
