Default First orbit in $650 PS WSOP sat

First orbit in the $650 Poker Stars Sunday satellite into the WSOP ME.

Everyone starts with T2500. First level is 10-20. Four limpers and I complete the SB with KJo and the BB checks. Flop comes KcJc6d. I bet 100 into a 120 pot. Folded to a late position player who raises to 450. Folded to hero.

I found this hand interesting because there are several different ways to play it based on the hand you put villian on and the stacks are deep enough to give more options than a basic shove or fold. Does he have a flush draw, straight draw, set of sixes, AJ, AK, KQ, KJ, bluff or what? Do I call, shove, raise another amount? Lots of possibilities.

What is your line here?

Calllllll... v few smaller 2 pairs he can be raising, and if you repop i think he folds most 1 pair hands. I like calling and checking most turns.

So is this where you're playing against his range, and not exactly what he has? So you call 300 into a 720 pot.

If I understand your line, you extract more value from the hands you beat, and lose less against the hands you're behind.

Do you check/call this down if you don't improve? At this point you've got a 1020 pot, and about 2000 behind. You're pot committed pretty soon with any further call.

I think it depends on what he does on the turn. If I check and he bets, I'd call and check/call the river. If he checks behind on the turn, I might try to value bet the river against his unpaired K.

Will you get called by an unpaired K here fairly often?

Sure if he sucks, there are also a ton of draws out there and I'm sure if we weren't so deep we would 3-bet the flop.

I typically check the turn here because it 'flows' better, but donking it might be better (given a blank turn). His range here is basically 2pair+ and strong draws, and letting him check behind draws on the turn sucks. If you bet the right amount he might push his whole range on you as well.
