Re: AK whiffed vs. superdonk
How about C/R the turn?

Re: AK whiffed vs. superdonk
on the ak hand, calling the turn is the worst option out of call/fold/raise. i like to either fold the turn, or checkraised it to about 40

Re: AK whiffed vs. superdonk
Hand #1: Not sure I like this. Calling the flop and leading the turn, espcially on a K is usually a strong hand. A donk w/ JT or QT check calls a lot of the time here. Especially on a rainbow board.
Hand #2: c/r turn or fold. Even if you have the best hand on the turn, which isn't all that likely, he probably has 15 outs. Oh--and even c/r'ing is questionable because, I mean, they call it stack a donk for a reason, right? The river is the nuts. probably 76. Donk overbets are 80% the nuts. Slowplay, slowplay, slowplay, OMG HE WON'T BET FOR ME--ARR IN... |

Re: AK whiffed vs. superdonk
I dislike both hands to be honest.
A player with stats like this, there is no need to get fancy. Flop strong hands and valuetown him all day. On the first hand, c-betting 3 way with position is OK, but I give up after that almost always. Second hand I either fire a second barrel on the turn or fold depending on his cold call and WTSD percentages, but default is to just c/f. |

Re: AK whiffed vs. superdonk
Hand number two , i say you let the hand go on the turn. Calling is I think a bad option with just overcards. I might fire the turn about 60% of pot and see what he does(read dependent). He is on your right, let him think he is outplaying you and catch him later.

Re: AK whiffed vs. superdonk
You played the first hand almost as bad as he did. You just put the last raise in.

Re: AK whiffed vs. superdonk
it may be a leak in my game, but against donks, i want a solid holding before i start messing with them and we've missed both flops...tbh, i wait for a better spot, i don't know how effective it is getting fancy with donks...

If you cbet when you miss and check a later street, he robs a lot of cbet money from you. If you only bet on the flop when you have a hand, some donks are actually smart enough to get suspicious and fold before being value bet to death. Is this a winning situation? |
