Eww, that's nasty I'm so sorry
Can you tell me what it was *supposed* to be betting there?

Previously when this had been reported by others I had thought the problem was caused by the FT software lagging and hitting "raise" while still having "max" selected, so I added code to check the value and wait until it was "correct" before betting... hopefully preventing this from ever happening, but this looks like it could be something different, and obviously very costly in this case

If it was supposed to bet full pot ($73), looks like maybe a rounding error? More likely looking at the numbers, it was supposed to bet ~73% but used the max value instead of pot value...

Will add in more sanity checks and post an updated version.

Another question, regular client or beta?

And do you run FT at "High Priority"?

dave.

Ouch. Good luck bro. Not really Dave's fault. He does this for free, for any and all to use. I'm pretty sure it's not on purpose. It just sucks this has happened

maybe check to make sure how much it's putting it before you actually bet it....i've had this happen a few times and I always caught it before I bet.

Tcorbin,

I certainly don't want this sort of thing to happen.

I just put up a new version (0.2i).. I wanted to test it a bit more but seeing you post I zipped it up and uploaded it anyway since I'm falling asleep soon.

I added tests at each stage of FTP calculations... this makes thisgs possibly slower, hopefully more safe.

I know I was able to play 1 testing table with zero errors for ~1 hour (I'd much rather do 6 tabes * 8 hours), all the time having my CPU maxed out with "Super Pi" and "Prime 95" programs.

Know that this is caused by the bug-ridden FT client, not the script. If FT client responded immediately to a click of a button, this would never happen. As is, on my system, FT may take upwards of 0.5 seconds to register a click I feel this has become worse with the latest update. I have therefore re-coded BetPot to wait a maximum of 2 seconds to read the values of Max, Min & Pot. Hopefully this will be enough.

Run FT at "High Priority", it needs it, regardless of AHK scripts.

I hope this never happens again,

dave.
