Default $16: Bubble action w/ very short stacks

Until now, big stack was shoving while the rest of us kept folding.

1. Limp good, fold?

PokerStars Tournament, Big Blind is t600 with t50 antes (4 handed) Converter on pregopoker.com

Hero (t1275)
Button (t9695)
SB (t1770)
BB (t760) (t110 left after BB+ante)

Preflop: Hero is in CO with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Hero calls t600, <font color="red">Button raises to t1800</font>, <font color="gray">SB folds</font>, <font color="gray">BB folds</font>, <font color="gray">Hero folds</font>

2.

CO (t11345)
Button (t1420)
SB (t110)
Hero (t625)

Preflop: Hero is in BB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
<font color="gray">CO folds</font>, <font color="gray">Button folds</font>

SB wins

3. What to do? B will be forced all in before me, still shove ATC?

PokerStars Tournament, Big Blind is t600 with t50 antes (4 handed) Converter on pregopoker.com

CO (t1370)
Button (t320) (t270 left)
Hero (t515) (t165 left)
BB (t11295)

Preflop: Hero is in SB with 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
<font color="gray">CO folds</font>, <font color="gray">Button folds</font>, <font color="gray">Hero folds</font>

4.
PokerStars Tournament, Big Blind is t600 with t50 antes (4 handed) Converter on pregopoker.com

CO (t270)
Hero (t165)
SB (t11745)
BB (t1320)

Preflop: Hero is in Button with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
CO calls t220 (All-in), <font color="gray">Hero folds</font>, <font color="red">SB raises to t1200</font>, <font color="gray">BB folds</font>

Results:
SB has 5s, Ks (high card Ace)
CO has Kd, 9h (high card Ace - King+Queen+Jack+Nine kicker)

5. Me and BB will be all in next hand and he'd have me covered if I fold. I'm pretty sure if I fold, B will push and both blinds will fold and also, if I shove I'd expect at least B and BB to come along (well can't really say). I have to win this hand? Range?

Hero (t115)
Button (t11855)
SB (t670) (t320)
BB (t860) (t210)

Preflop: Hero is in CO with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
Hero calls t65 (All-in)

What's the play if I was behind BB so much that 4x'ing up would still leave me with less chips than him? I mean we'd be forced all in next hand and he'd have me covered.

1. I don't like the limp utg with your stack, After you do you have to fold.

I think the rest are fine.

I think the limp UTG is good. The thing is even though you limp UTG the BB made a huge mistake folding regardless of his hand.

Why is limping in hand 1 a good thing? Its for half his stack. Isnt this push or fold time?

You limp hand 1 to make sure the BB doesn't get folded to. If the Button folds here (unlikely but possible) and so does the SB then thats a bad situation. By limping you make it so if both Button and SB fold you get to call the BB. If Button shoves over and the others fold you also fold, and if button shoves and shorty calls you can decide between calling and folding.

Kind of like insurance that BB gets someone playing for the last few hundred chips.

With that said I still don't know if I like it in this spot being so short and with the Button being aggressive lately I wouldn't expect him to let up now.

Edit: Do you think its likely to see Button fold trying to preserve the bubble and steal more blinds?

I see your point about insurance. But by limping it looks weak to me and I'm sure it did to the Button too. It just seems that by pushing you eliminate Buttons play here or if BB had called then Button wouldnt have been able to come over the top of you and force you out.

Question for you note takers. Do you instantly note that BB folded with 110 left?

I like the point in the limp hand about insurance. I had never looked at it like that, but now I really see it and I think I like this line better.

LIMP AWAY!

The way I was thinking about hand 1 is more about taking my KQ against BB who has a random hand. Button joining my quest with ATC isn't a bad thing, I'm a big favorite to not bubble (if BB calls).

I think button would've shoved no matter what I did altho big stacks tend to slow down quite a bit when they're sure they'll have to showdown a hand in a spot like this. But still I'm not too concerned about BB getting a walk.
