Default Ugh, JJ vs solid 3bet

Bellagio 15/30. I've played with villian once or twice before and he seems to be a solid regular. Friendly grey haired guy, I think his name is Jim. He's pretty aggressive attacking/defending blinds and I haven't seen anything other than typical solid play from him. He likely views me similarly.

I raise JJ utg+1, MP2 3-bets, I call.

Flop: T 9 3 r

What's my plan here? Just call down, call down and then b/f river, just dump it?

Why didn't you include the flop check-raise & the flop donk in your list of possibilities? These should be possibilities.imo.

Yea, I dunno why I threw that stuff at the end. It's obviously not an all inclusive list of options.

This is very player dependent and you gave us a very general description. Examples of his play would be helpful. imo, he will have to have a very narrow 3-betting range not to get a raise in somewhere.

Just one opponent. I bet until an A or K show, then check call.

I think a flop bet is almost always getting raised. What would be your line from there? Call and donk the turn?

Probably, or else I reraise and bet the turn if no A or K shows. Call & donk keeps the pot a little smaller giving less incentive for them to call on the turn.

If I knew this was a very aggressive player who generally continued the semi-bluff on the turn then I may check call the turn & try to induce a bluff on the river. But I'd really rather bet and try to get rid of overs.

Im not trying to hijack this hand, but what do you feel are the best responses if the hand goes like this.

Situation 1: You donk flop, he calls, turn blank, you bet, he raises?

Situation 2: You c/r flop, he calls, turn blank, you bet he raises.

Situation 3: You c/r flop, he 3 bets

Situation 4: You donk, he raises

I often feel that check calling is really weak in these situations but I tend to feel lost often when they show aggression back.

Against a solid, aggressive player,as described, who has position on me,I'm looking to get reasonable value without undue risk.

I would check/call the flop & donk the turn.
