Default rio poker room?

I have not been to the Rio outside of the WSOP, but am staying there this weekend. What kinds of games do they have going normally there. Also what is my best bet for Limit Omaha H/L 10/20-20/40ish, Bellagio? Thanks in advance.

Rio normally has 2/5NL and 4/8LHE going.

It is a pretty less then spectacular room, but it serves its purpose.

If you want MLHE check out Venetian, Bellagio, MGM Grand, and the Wynn. Just came back from Vegas and these bigger poker rooms spread higher limits. However, I will say that 4/8 LHE at the RIO is a cake walk. If you play 2/5 NL be prepared to play your A game, b/c according to the dealers thats the toughest game they offer. I was at the RIO late Saturday night in the early morning and it looks like some of the guys at 2/5 NL had around 3-5k stacks.

Which just goes to show that there were plenty enough donkeys playing that the folks with $5K apparently stacked many of them multiple times. If the donkeys are still there, jump in with both feet.

The Palms is nearby and it is very fishy, too.

Rio spread a super-fishy 10/20 rotation game 2 nights ago. That was fun

I caught the tail end of that this morning. walked in and there was a short handed $10-$20 Hold'em game going. got in but the game broke shortly thereafter - then i noticed that the game plaque said it was a mixed game -- I don't now how long had passed since it turned into hold'em only.

LOL, that was myself, Joe Tall, Mike L, Justin A, and Death Donkey + a local who HATES limit Hold'em. It was dealer's choice, and the action was insane.

HEY! Don't go ruining my 4/8 mix game. I can donk off a few dozen big bets trying to learn the ropes playing 4/8, but if you go and turn the only low-limit mix game around into 10/20 I'm gonna be ticked. Take your 10/20 over to Wynn or Bellagio where you belong and leave the 4/8 game going at Rio!
