PS: 3r Down to 2 tables - Pushbot question
Sorrry dont have converter at hand ...
this is the 3r (pricepool 30k where 10th gets like 200 and winner gets 5k) we are down to 2 tables, actually 15 plrs left. people are stealing / restealing, pure preflop poker. have been quite passive due to complete carddeadness for hte last hour. nevertheless no specific reads, as just moved to this table. avg stack 800k my stack 440k sb/bb: 30/60k ante 1500 i think i get KJo in CO+2 4 folds, i push plrs to act after me ~ 400-700 k BB sits on 1.5 mio --> is my push standard ? what if i get that hand UTG? |

Re: PS: 3r Down to 2 tables - Pushbot question
CO+2 as in SB ? not really shure i understand how many players at the table but anyway...
BB only needs 380k to call wich leaves him left with 1,120.000 chips if he looses wich has him still in position to continue if he wins he will have little over 2M he also knows you need to make moves if you wanna stay in the game that means his range might be little bit looser to call you with so its a move i dont mind making but not everytime i see it tho UTG i wouldnt make this move |

Re: PS: 3r Down to 2 tables - Pushbot question
I really don't like pushing with KJ.. If the blinds don't go up in the meantime, you can afford to wait for a hand with an ace or PP, even if the blinds pass trough you.. ( 90k blinds + 15k +/- antes, that's like -100k )Wait for a better hand and push..
You'll stay longer in the tourney, and probably have more chances to reach better paid spots.. |

I would make this from all positions.
Slightly over 2M, this is a good hand to puch with imo. |

Re: PS: 3r Down to 2 tables - Pushbot question
what u mean that you are pushing utg with more playres to act but not with only 4 after you ... what is the logic there?
Further i dont assume that pushing KJ is a move but rather a value play ... i play to win and not to wait in order to move 3 spots up and blind out ... |

Re: PS: 3r Down to 2 tables - Pushbot question
It's not the fact of "playing to win". If you are shortstack, probably means that there are better players than you still in the tourney. If any bigstack has Ax, he'll probably isolate you, and then you gotta pray for luck..
I'd wait for a better spot.. |

Each orbit is costing over 100,000 chips. We have 440K. We have 4 orbits left assuming the blinds don't go up, or about 28 hands. If we shove and win the blinds that's great. If we shove and get called by Ax or a pp < JJ, that's great too. We NEED to double up. The money is pretty insignificant until the last places of the FT. If we play the tourney 100 times, 1 1st and 99 15ths are going to pay more than 100 9ths. The hands I don't want to see against us: AK, KQ, JJ, QQ, KK, AA. The chances are VERY slim that one of these 6 hands is behind us. Easy, easy shove. |

Re: PS: 3r Down to 2 tables - Pushbot question
Thanks for your reply - good to read an answer with logical reasoning behind and not seemingly reprint standard answers and phrases. Ithink in dollar value a push is strongly EV+ - was an easy shove for me as well ... just needed sanity check as i obv ran into aces : o
