Default Best chance for a WSOP NLHE Bracelet Event 38

http://www.worldseriesofpoker.com/ev...?eventid=43306

Sat 6/23/2007 12:00PM Event 38 1500 B/I NLHE
With the 50k horse event starting the next day and drawing the big names, I believe this event will be the best chance for someone hoping to secure a WSOP bracelet. Not a cake walk by any means but judging on last years numbers, beating 400 semipros would be a less daunting task than taking on the best in the game.

I've pre registered. See you at the final table.

I beg to differ, my money is on Event 17 being the easiest.

It would probably be the 50k horse, 10k omaha, ladies event or seniors event or maybe a random 1k or 1.5k that gets a really small field.

In terms of overall field ability, I feel like the main event would be easiest. By easiest I mean a good player would have his or her biggest edge over the field in the main event. Still, with so many entrants, it would be very difficult to win.

There is a thread in the Tournament Circuit forum where Greg Raymer responds with what he thinks the impact of the horse event will be on this. His feeling is that those pros who are interested in the horse tournment (keep in mind that not all pros are going to feel they are that strong in all of the poker variants in the horse format) will possibly still enter this event. If so they'll take the "go big or go home" approach early, looking to chip up fast or burn out in time to make the horse event. I'm paraphrasing, but you should be able to find the post if you're interested.

Realized that the thred I was talking about was referring to a different event. Part of the discussion (that not all pros play horse) is valid, but the rest probably not.
