PokerStars $3.00+$0.40 SnG bubble advice
A friend of mine wanted some advice based on a SnG he played in. Here's what he told me.
15000 in chips on the table UTG: Big Stack A (I'm assuming 5000+.) Button: Hero (2400) SB: Villain (700) BB: Big Stack B (I'm assuming 5000+.) Blinds are 300/600 with a 50(?) ante. Big Stack A folds. He wants to know if he should fold KTo or let Big Stack B do the dirty work. I told him that he should call the BB and wait for Big Stack B to respond to the eventual shove by Small Stack. If BB raises or bets at any point, trust him and fold. If not, check it down and hope for the best. I also said that it doesn't matter if he has 2400 or 1800. Either way, if Small Stack survives the hand, he's going to sit and put the burden on Hero to survive his small and big blinds. In general, if Small Stack survives, I think that Hero will be forced to shove on at least one of the next three hands. Am I giving good advice? Are there any nuances or concepts I should stress? I thank all readers and responders for their time. StatsProf857 |

Re: PokerStars $3.00+$0.40 SnG bubble advice
Welcome to the forum....
Nicely said...BB would call with ATC. 3 choices: ==== SB folds =>he's left with 400.. you are sure to finish ITM SB goes AI => BB will call with ATC. check it down... too bad if SB gets a hand BB goes all-in and SB too => fold, your beat... ==== |

I agree. Hero should limp and try to knock out BB. Pushing would be bad.....folding would be bad too.
