i think you need to slow down when he makes it 18, hes not folding here. call and see what the turn brings.

Absolutely standard, nh...HAd this same scenario with AJs yesterday on 864 two of my suit board and villain tank folded claiming 1010. If he has one pair without an A as its kicker, you're a favorite and you had fold equity on the threebet, even against a set, you're priced in and sets aren't the bulk of his range imo.

calling the flop is also fine. i think they're both ok. also ok to push when you 3bet but i don't think that matters much.

I would probably call the flop CR 80% and 3bet shove the other 20% just to mix up my game strategy. i agree that your fold equity here is slim to none. I prefer pushing FD's with two overcards to the flop rather than just one fwiw.

I basically announced I was all in with the raise to $60 on the flop. The only other way I thought about playing this was to just call the raise on the flop and shove on the turn, but i thought that i had a better chance of getting him off a hand like AQ by 3-betting flop.

agreed, but the good thing about 3bet shoving here is that it bumps up your fold equity, and putting the pressure on him to make a decison with AQ or a lower FD. and it also sets it up nicely for the future so you can do this with overpairs and sets.
