Tough Spot w trips 2/4
Villan is ZeKGB. I don't have a lot of history on him, but he is at a couple of my tables. Earlier I reraised him w KK and he called and check raised me all in with T8s on a 279 board. THat's my only read. SB in the hand is a complete donk, and I was not concerned with him.
I reraise here preflop 90% of the time, this was 1 of the other 10%. Poker Stars No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $2/$4 5 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $419.90 UTG+1: $417.15 hero: $748.60 SB: $181 BB: $247.90 Pre-flop: (5 players) hero is Button with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG+1 raises to $16, hero calls, SB calls Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($52, 3 players) SB checks, UTG+1 checks, hero bets $32, SB calls, UTG+1 calls. Turn: 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($148, 3 players) SB checks, UTG bets $100, hero ???? |

all-in [/ QUOTE ] What hands does he check call on the flop and lead the turn that we could possibly be ahead of here? |

Re: Tough Spot w trips 2/4
you're behind 55 and the flush but ahead of most aces. problem is you still have SB to act here too.
i probably call hoping for board to pair or a Q. Might fold to a shove if i don't connect. |

Re: Tough Spot w trips 2/4
Kind of fun to be the villain in a hand and having no idea what I had. Will be interesting to find out when I get home.
In Hero's spot I'd say you are rarely ahead but IRL I am rarely able to find the fold button. |

Call. Hopefully improve.
If you don't, you can probably fold safely to a river bet. |

Re: Tough Spot w trips 2/4
KhKx seems very possible. Then again, so does AK; a lot of people would be afraid to pop flop b/c of obvious big hand with AA on board. Check calling then leading turn, especially with surmounting fear of 4 flush on board killing trips, is a likely play with AK.
I think calling is a good play. If he bets river you can fold unless you improve. If a heart comes and he checks hes probably got Ak and you might be able to represent flush and get him off the better hand; if he checks with no heart likely had the KK and probably check unless you think hes stubborn/curious to call small bet with KK--seriously doubt a cr bluff here on river. |
