This is from last nights 22:00 $0.25 tourney, 3000+ people entered and we are down the final three. First place pays $130, 2nd $71, 3rd $40.
According to my pokertracker DB, villain is very agressive. I have taken a number of pots off him in the past hour with mediocre hands and very lucky flops (usually blind vs blind). My gut tells me he does not have anything... what should I do after he checks the river? I have top 2 pair. I usually just check here. I hate playing against players who do this. His likely hands are probably a K with a weak kicker or A9. Although you're probably ahead, he's only calling with a hand that beats you - although he's an idiot.
Edit: I also like a check because if I'm ahead, I get to see what he was playing and make a note on him. |

Push the river. Your stack is half the pot.
You could also have reraised preflop. |

I was trying to play cagey... Sometimes I raised with a good hand, sometimes I just called... trying to keep Villain on his toes. I was not concerned about the other opponent, he seemed to be a n00b.

I would probably bet 3/4-pot sized bet on the turn, mostly to keep Ac from staying in and drawing out on me. His line suggests a missed flush draw or K w/ weak kicker. As played though, I'm probably just checking, simply because he only calls with hands that beat you, and you get to see what he played. I think if he is beating you, he would have most likely made a value bet on the end.
