Default Stars cashout 10k+

Hey guys,

I wanted to withdraw 10-20k for tax's / life, and was wondering what the better method was. The wire transfer or check?

I use BoA and would probably just put my check in the ATM because Im too afraid to deal with a teller asking me questions, how long until its cashed do you think?.

I would prefer a wire transfer but dont want to wait 30-60 days since tax's are due before that(yes im a huge procrastinator).

Any advice appreciated.

dude it's stars. Get the check. Money in the bank less than a week later It's that easy.

And they will send you checks over 5k, I don't know what the [censored] mo42 is talking about.

Though, I've never done the transfer, so I can't really say which one is better, but you can't go wrong with a check.

Yea I have no idea what Im talking about

Hello ,

You have recently requested a cheque in the amount of $15,000.00.

Unfortunately due to recent changes within our cheque processing
systems,
we are no longer able to issue any cheques over $5000.00. As a result,
we
will have to send you the funds you wish to cashout cheque directly to
your bank account via a bank wire. This means all cheques up to and
including $5000.00 will be sent as a cheque and all requests made over
$5000 (starting at $5001.00 and above) will need to be sent to you as a
wire.

Please keep in mind that although we pay for all of the fees in order
to
send you your wire transfer, you will need to cover the approximate
$30.00
in fees at your bank to be able to access your wired funds. The fee
that
each bank differs from bank to bank and we are not able to cover this
fee.

As a result of this new policy, we have cancelled your pending cheque
and
the entire amount of funds has been credited back into your PokerStars
account. In order to proceed with a bank wire in the amount of at least
$5001.00 (one request per 24 hours), we will need you to provide us
with
the following information:

1. Your home phone number and a convenient time to reach you
2. The amount you wish to cash out via Bank Wire
3. Full bank account number
4. The full name the bank account is registered to:
5. The address registered to the bank account (if different from the
address registered to your PokerStars account, if same as on your
PokerStars account, please confirm):

6. IBAN number: (if available)
7. Bank's SWIFT code: (FOR INTERNATIONAL WIRE TRANSFERS AND NOT
ROUTING
NUMBER)
8. Bank's full name:
9. Bank's full address:

Please be sure to reply with ALL requested information above both
complete
and accurate so that we can ensure that your bank wire is sent to you
quickly.

Also, keep in mind that if we do not hear back from you, the funds from
your original cheque will simply remain in your PokerStars account for
your use and no cheque will be sent to you. If you do not wish to
receive
a bank wire, simply request a cheque for under $5000.00 (including
$5000.00) and a cheque will be sent to you.

Best Regards,

LuisG

I'm pretty sure their new rule is no checks > 5k. Wires shouldn't take 30-60 days. Took me < 1 week. I know there was a post where some guy was having trouble. I don't know what's up in his case, but everyone else is reporting fast times for wires. Your bank may charge you a small fee, but it's trivial ($10 for my bank).

I don't know...I havn't had any problems with them. They've worked fine with neteller and now epassporte, and I deposited a 2k check from stars in the ATM recently and they didn't place any sort of hold on it at all.

their interest rates are a joke
their fees are even worse
they charge for breathing in the bank
their hours suck
other than that they are a top notch organization (theyve also given people crap about depsoiting on epassporte)
